Join the 2021/22 PEACH Team!

Come join the 2021/22 PEACH Team!

This year, PEACH was successfully revived. Now, PEACH is looking for a committee that is willing to make it truly thrive! As many of you know, PEACH is the only QM student media outlet solely dedicated to publishing creative work. We like to operate less like a magazine and more like a creative home for QM students, opening up creativity as something safe, exciting and non-judgemental. We hope to develop a committee with the same values and approach.

Because PEACH is a QMSU student media outlet, being on the committee allows you to develop a host of excellent, career-focused skills that build a strong CV! This is particularly the case if you are interested in a career in publishing, journalism, magazine development, marketing, promotion, event planning, etc. Depending on the role you hold, some of the skills and experience you can obtain includes:

  • Magazine editing
  • Magazine development
  • Media law training
  • Welfare training
  • GDPR training
  • Adobe Creative Cloud experience (particularly through InDesign and Photoshop
  • CMS experience
  • Marketing experience (across platforms and systems such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SEOs, Hootsuite, LinkedIn and more!)
  • Event production
  • Event hosting
  • Workshop production
  • Workshop hosting

PEACH isn’t just a great space for creativity, it is also a great stepping stone into your future career. With the skills obtained from their time at PEACH, many of our committee members have gone into publishing, journalism, magazine development, marketing and more! If all of this sounds great to you, then scroll down for all the available roles and application information!

Applications are open from the 26th of April to the 7th of May. All information on how to apply is also included below!

It will be your job to plan and manage two new workshops every month (at least). This role requires confidence, creativity and great organisational skills. Also, due to the ongoing pandemic, we might be relying on remote workshops just as much in-person ones. It will be your job to help maintain a sense of community both through online and in-person workshops.
